(Refer Direction of Mumbai University circular No. UG./312 of 1997, dated 05th September-1997 and Circular No. UG./418 of 2002 dated 24th September-2002)
For B.E.
- A candidate satisfies the conditions prescribe in the ATKT Rule revised (University Circular No. Exam./SC/ 1055 of 2008) and made applicable from time to time from University of Mumbai.
- A candidate who has admitted to the firs year of B.E. degree course has to complete the course of degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) within 08 years from the date of his enrolment, otherwise he/she enroll as fresh candidates for the first year as ex-student
- The minimum aggregate marks required for passing per paper is 40& including internals.
- Those of successful candidates of Degree Course who secure 70% or more to the total marks in semester-VII and semester-VIII examination taken together (semester-VII & semester-VIII examination taken each at one sitting only) will be deemed to have Passed the Final Year of B.E. degree examination in First Class with Distinction.
- Those of successful candidates of Degree Course who secure 60% or more to the total marks in semester-VII and semester-VIII examination taken together (semester-VII & semester-VIII examination taken each at one sitting only) will be deemed to have Passed the Final Year of B.E. degree examination in First Class. (Three additional attempts in succeeding examinations for sem-VII and four more additional attempts in succeeding examination for sem-VIII)
- Those of successful candidates of Degree Course who secure 50% or more to the total marks in semester-VII and semester-VIII examination taken together (semester-VII & semester-VIII examination taken each at one sitting only) will be deemed to have Passed the Final Year of B.E. degree examination in Second Class. (semester-VII & semester-VIII examination taken each at one sitting only) will be deemed to have Passed the Final Year of B.E. degree examination in First Class. (Three additional attempts in succeeding examinations for sem-VII and four more additional attempts in succeeding examination for sem-VIII)
For M.E.
- he/she passed semester-I or semester –II, for entering in semester-III (for M.E.)
- The minimum aggregate marks required for passing per paper is 45& including internals.
- During semester-III and IV, the students should work full time for each of his/her Seminar and Dissertation work.
- In order to be eligible for First/Second class, a candidate must appear and pass the First and Second Semester examination in not more than four consecutive Semester after registration. Further that the candidate shall submit the dissertation on or before 31st August of the fourth academic year from the date of registration
- he/she passed semester-I or semester –II, for entering in semester-III
- he/she completely passed in semester-I & II and semester –III or IV, for entering in semester-V
- The minimum aggregate marks required for passing per paper is 45& including internals.
- he/she has prosecuted a regular course of study in a college affiliated to the University
- he/she has in the opinion of the Principal, shown satisfactory progress in his/her studies.
- Theory, Termwork, Practical and /or Oral will be considered as separate head of passing, as prescribed in the scheme of instructions and examinations
- The examinee who has passed in any subject (Theory /Practical /Oral) or subjects shall, at his option, be exempted from appearing in that subject at the subsequent examination:- The Theory and the Practical/Oral with their respective ‘Termwork’ being separate head of passing (though of the same subject), an examinee passing under any one of these, but failing in another, shall at his option, be entitled to get “Exemption” in that part of the subject (either Theory or Practical/Oral), in which he secured the pass marks.
