Future Scope : Computer Engineering is a discipline that combines both Electrical engineering and Computer Science. Computer engineers usually have training in electrical engineering, software design and hardware- software integration instead of only software engineering or electrical engineering. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers, to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger picture.
Computer engineers are involved in writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems. Computer engineers are also suited for robotics research which relies heavily on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems like motors, communications, and sensors.
About department : The Department was established in 1994.The department has well-qualified and experienced teaching faculty which are assisted by Qualified Technical staff. The Department is well equipped with latest generation of computer. The Computer lab of the department has state-of-art Hardware and Software. The department provides wide exposure to the student in keeping up with the fast changing scenario both in computer software and hardware. Equipped with the latest developments tools, the department also undertakes industry and research projects giving the students the valuable experience and exposure. The Department encourages interaction with experts from the industry. Seminars, industrial visits, technical quiz paper presentation contest are some of the activities that give students a feel of the feel of real world. The Department is also associated with the professional bodies like ISTE, CSI.
